What do Dermal Fillers Contain?
Dermal Filler contain Hyaluronic acid (HA) which is naturally found in the human body where it hydrates and adds volume to the skin. It is found in the deep dermal and epidermal layers of the skin which form the smooth and elastin properties of younger looking skin. Your skin’s natural ability to produce HA decreases with age.
Are Dermal Fillers Safe?
Dermal fillers are safe and effective when carried out by a highly qualified and experienced practitioner. Tissue friendly dermal fillers are fundamentally used to restore volume and fullness to the skin and where wrinkles have formed due to the natural ageing process. Dermal fillers come in a variety of preparations meaning that each client can have their treatment tailored to best suit their needs. Does the treatment hurt?
You will have an option of mild to no discomfort using topical numbing cream and ice packs. Whatever your pain threshold, we ensure your treatment is tailored to your individual needs.
Will I be swollen?
You may have mild swelling for a few days but this does resolve quickly.
What happens after treatment?
You must not touch the treated area for a least 6 hours following your treatment. You may experience some bruising and redness but again this resolves quite quickly. To help speed up the natural healing process you may use topical Arnica cream.
